As American electronic music group, Major Lazer prepare for their fourth and final album, they give fans a sneak-preview of what to expect from that project of musical art with the premiere of “Can’t Take It From Me.” They didn’t go this effort alone as they feature Skip Marley – the grandson of late reggae legend, Bob Marley.
Made up of Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, Major Lazar are known for music which spans across several genres including mixing reggae with dancehall, reggaeton, soca, house and moombahton. In fact, they made sense of the West African Afrobeats in a fusion with Hip Hop on a single titled “Particular” a while back.
That monster smash effort became one of the biggest songs of the continent of Africa at the time and it still continues to dominate across board. Only thing is the fact that they return to their dancehall roots with “Can’t Take It From Me.”
This latest glittering production comes with the abundance of the sonic sound as well as the sunny, exciting kinda musical deliveries with a tempo that touches the ambience up a notch. In the end, “Can’t Take It From Me” is only a dessert and starter of the feast and fest that is to be expected when the album drops.
The body of work would be a follow up to their previous 3 albums including “Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do,” released in 2009, “Free the Universe which dropped in 2013,” and “Peace is the Mission” which launched in 2015. You definitely want to connect with this latest presentation off the stash and stables of Major Lazar and Skip Marley.
