As we prepare for the magic that is Madonna‘s “Madame X” project, which is expected to be her 14th studio album, we get to sample a song titled “Dark Ballet” and it is one of the songs on the coming project.
“Dark Ballet” is the fifth preview song from the project that Madonna is releasing having released “I Rise,” “Crave,” “Future,” and “Medellín” in the past and as she comes through with this, we know “Madame X”‘s release date is not so far anymore and this can only be a good thing.
Produced by Mirwais, with whom Madonna has worked in the past, this song has drawn reactions, which is not unexpected in a Madonna offering and this was not different.
While there have been a lot of praise for the coming album based on the initial four songs released from the project, there have also been some criticisms as well, especially with respect to “Future” and now “Dark Ballet” with some analysts suggesting that the reception for the latter is even worse than that of “Future”.
Some pundits claimed that the fact that she didn’t give each song released time to spread and connect and maybe, even sell or grow on fans did not help the reception either. Before fans could fall in love with a song, she had released another one and the fact that “Dark Ballet” is coming so soon after the last release confirms this somehow.
