Zambian rapper, Sampa the Great makes a return to the music scene with her first song of the year and it is titled “Final Form” and better believe that fans have been talking about it since it dropped.
Based in Australia, Sampa the Great has already distinguished herself as one of the artistes of note. In fact, fans in Australia don’t toy with her or her music and she builds on that popularity with this new “Final Form” song.
Sampa the Great’s style of music is uncaged. She constantly challenges herself and finds ways to incorporate poetry and storytelling into her songs and she didn’t disappoint here too.
The song also came with a music video that was shot in her homeland in Zambia and sees her collaborate with Silentjay and Jonwayne, both of whom she has worked with in the past.
Speaking about what the song entails, she said: “It’s easy to get caught up in the constant chatter around you about how ‘you are not there yet’, how you ‘might not make it’. ‘Final Form’ is about expanding yourself and calling out any negativity towards that growth process. As an artist I now recognise my in-between stage; sometimes it drops and sometimes it rises, but I love that I get to level up each second. I might even final form tomorrow.”
Sampa the Great has come through with “Protect Your Queen”, “Blue Boss”, “Energy”, “Inner Voice”, “Everybody’s Hero” in the past and we recommend listening to what she did with this new song too. To listen, stream and share your comments in the comments section.
