In an Instagram post shared by Olamide, the Nigerian hip-hop recording artist appreciates fans for the love and acceptance of the mid-tempo electronic club-ready jam.
The jam produced by ID Cabasa gained airplay when an unmastered version circulated the media space before its official release. The original song however later dropped in July 2019, accompanied with colourful visuals directed by TG Omori.
Cabasa had revealed in an interview after the release of the song, stating why he choose Wizkid, and how it was getting the international star on the project.
Ayo is an international artiste now but he is a young (man) that still cherishes and respects old friends. He understands that be famous does not make you forget the people you have relationship with. A lot of people see these young artistes as arrogant, but I don’t see them as such. I just believe that if you know how to speak their language, they will do what you want them to do.
The day he came to Olamide’s place, I was overwhelmed with the show of love between the two of them. This is something that upcoming acts need to learn from them. Olamide actually made the song, ‘Totori’, happen. – ID Cabasa explained.
ID Cabasa has remained one of the most prolific producers in Nigeria music for decades. He became well known for producing 9ice‘s Gongo Aso album and other hits for the likes of Banky W, Lord of Ajasa, Olamide, Ruggedman, Jahbless and more.
