Taylor Swift Reveals Plans To Re-Record Her Music Catalog

has revealed plans to re-record her entire catalog to take back control of her masters.

freaked out a few weeks back after discovering her had acquired the master rights to her first six albums. She  reportedly called it her “worst case scenario“. In a new report by THR, Taylor during an interview with Tracy Smith on CBS Sunday Morning was asked if she will re-record her music in response to the deal, and she said, “Oh yeah“. Smith further asked the singer if that is a plan to which she responds, “Absolutely“.

Taylor’s upcoming , is scheduled for release on Friday, August 23. The would be her first at her new label, Republic Records.
