Taylor Swift performs ‘You Need to Calm Down,’ ‘ME!’ & ‘Shake it Off’ on GMA, talks re-recording old songs

Taylor is one celeb who is proud of and thankful for the fans she’s amassed since the beginning of her career. The singer shows this in many ways, inviting them to appear on her music video and most recently ordering pizza for the whole lot of them.

When Taylor got to the GMA location, a ton of fans were waiting to say ‘hi’, and she reportedly ordered pizza for all of them. The singer then performed her new hits You Need To Calm Down and ME!. was followed by rendition from fans after which literally everyone screamed “Hey Kids, Spelling is fun” during ME!. Taylor then surprised fans with an unexpected performance of her hit song, Shake It Off from the 1989 album.

Also in a sit down with GMA co-anchor Robin Roberts, Taylor Spoke about owning her work and what it means to her. Speaking on the new album, , she said, “Something that’s very special to me about this album is it’s the first one that I will own”. She also talked about re-recording her previous material. She’s quoted saying; “My contract says that starting November 2020, so next year, I can record albums 1 through 5 all over again. I think it’s important for artists to own their work. I’m gonna be busy, I’m very excited.

Taylor‘s new album is scheduled to drop on Friday. The new record features 18 tracks, a few of which have already been released as singles. She is also billed to perform at the s on Monday, Aug. 26.
