Young M.A Drops PettyWap 2, Announces Debut Album Release Date

. is one hip hop act with a mind of her own. The rapper recently announced the release date of her highly anticipated debut studio album HERSTORY in the making scheduled to drop on Sept. 27. (The tenth anniversary of her brother’s death). The rapper announced the album drop on Instagram posting its cover art with the caption “09/27/19 HERSTORY THE ALBUM #YoungMA #HERStory”

In a press release she said about the album;

There isn’t a single day that I don’t think about my brother. He continues to motivate me; inspire me and this project will forever be dedicated to his legacy. You’re gonna get the truth. You’re gonna get the cocky joints, the slick talk joints where I talk my talk, but then I’m gonna get personal. Real personal. That’s why this album is called Herstory in the Making, because it’s about all sides of me. People will hear this album and say, ‘I had no idea she was going through all that.’ I don’t put myself out there on social media. I save it for the music, and I write it all. This is all me.

The upcoming album contains 21 tracks, including a bonus cut. It features Zaytoven, Relle Bey, Max YB, Mike Zombie, NY Bangers, and more. The album also contains some of her most recent singles, Bleed, BIG, Car Confessions and PettyWap. 

The rapper also dropped the visual for the upcoming album’s bonus track PettyWAP 2. The video, directed by Marc Diamond shows M.A in a pool with dancing women in bikinis.
