The road to getting Kanye West‘s Jesus Is King album has been a really long one. We’re starting to think, it’s all on purpose. We mean, it’s Kanye, so anything is possible. The iconic rapper left fans disappointed on Friday when they waited to no avail for his highly anticipated new album.
She had previously announced that the album would be dropping on September 27, revealing the album name a few months back. When industry sources seemed to confirm that the album would be a no show, the hot mama hinted at its possible release by retweeting a fan’s post on the album coming on Friday.
Thankfully, both stars didn’t leave us high and dry. She also shared an updated track list for the upcoming album. Ye on the other hand announced a surprised show at The Fox Theater in Detroit, Michigan on Friday night titled “Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience”. The show kicked off at 8pm and the Famous rapper played some songs from the album and other tracks that he usually performs at his Sunday Service shows.
Kim also announced the surprise concert on her IG stories and revealed the album would drop on Sunday. She wrote “Kanye’s doing a listening session in Chicago tomorrow, then NYC Sunday. He’s dropping the album Sunday. Just a few final tweaks to the mixes.”
