The rate at which the Nigerian music industry has embraced indigenous artists from all over the country is a thing of joy. Artists simply sing and rap in their various languages and still connect to fans from all over who sometimes have no idea what they’re saying.
Since the successful release of his EP, 777, indigenous Igbo rapper, Tidinz has had a steady rise in the music industry. Recently, leaving his previous label, Jungle Citi, the fun Eastern rapper is now signed to Insane Music Gang. The charismatic rapper has released Nkpofe as his first single as an artist signed to Insane Music Gang.
Born Richard Dilichukwu Okonkwo, and fondly called Golden Boy, Tidinz is a hip hop recoding artist from Enugu State, Nigeria. Previously signed to Jungle Citi Entertainment, Tidinz released mildly successful singles under the label, including, Paa Cool ft. Yung6ix. His 777 EP contained some very dope tracks, April 12th, Ogbe, Obodo, Park Well, Guy Man, Idi Bad, N’ime Anyasi and Focused.
Like most indigenous rapper especially out of Enugu, the young rapper sticks to comedic lyrics which make his songs more exciting to hear.
His new song Nkpofe features Igbo rapper, Zoro. Zoro’s music has recently seen massive success in the music industry and he continues to deliver great music. On the new track, both artist rap about funny situations in life where people try to unnecessarily outdo themselves in life.
Nkpofe is a chill tune that leaves you unconsciously bopping your head and singing along to the refrain.
