The recently released weekly update of the Billboard 200 charts shows Ed Sheeran is still basking in the success of his newest album, No. 6 Collaborations Project. The new album remains steady at number 1 for a second week even with a Beyoncé curated album debuting. Here’s a run down of the chart’s top 10.
Last week, British pop star, Ed Sheeran continued his streak of wins with the release of his newest album, No. 6 Collaborations project which debuted at No. 1. The album debuted with 173, 000 equivalent album units. This, week No. 6 remains steady at no. 1 after earning 78,000 equivalent units last week, down 55% as compared to last week’s debut. It sold 16,000 in albums, 5,000 in TEA units and 57,000 in SEA units. The album still remains the most streamed album of the week with 74.7 million on-demand streams.
Debuting at number two on the chart is the Beyoncé curated soundtrack album, The Lion King: The Gift with 54,000 equivalent album units earned. The new album which features a bevy of African artists and some American artists was released on July 19 and shifted 11,000 on album sales.
Also in the top ten are Billie Eilish‘s former number one, When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? which falls to no. 3 with 51,000 equivalent album units and Lil Nas X‘s 7 steady at no 4. 7 earns 43,000 units, while Revenge of the Dreamers slips from 3-5 with 41,000 units. Chris Brown‘s Indigo falls 5-6, Lizzo’s Cuz I Love You, 6-7, Khalid‘s Free Spirit 7-8, and Post Malone’s beerbongs & Bentleys 8-9.
Nas‘s new one, The Lost Tapes 2 debuts at no. 10 with 23,000 equivalent album units earned (with 12,000 in album sales).
